Last week, on our way home from Niagara Falls, we stopped in at Inn on the Twenty for dinner.
Inn on the Twenty Restaurant at night.
Inn on the Twenty is located on Main Street in Jordan, Ontario - approximately 25 minutes west of Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario. This little strip of Main Street gives you such a comforting, small town feeling - which I love!
From the dining room, and upstairs "Windows on the Twenty Room" you get a spectacular view of the Twenty Mile Valley. Unfortunately we were there past 6:00pm, so all we saw was complete darkness, but this picture below is from the Function Room upstairs.
Inn on the Twenty can accomodate up to 140 guests for your ceremony and reception.
Wedding Ceremonies can be held in the Cave Springs vineyard, a few kilometres away - which is beautiful! This is a picture from Boston Images of a wedding ceremony that took place in the vineyard.
There are so many great ways to experience their great customer service and property! Whether you want to enjoy a day at the spa, have a tour of the Cave Spring Cellars and wine tasting, have a delicious meal in their dining room, stay in one of their suites or lofts, or hold a corporate function or wedding there - Inn on the Twenty is a beautiful and friendly place to do it all!
For dinner, Danielle started with the Hot Smoked Atlantic Salmon - it was served on top of a citrus crème fraîche, brioche and a dill emulsion with a cucumber-caraway slaw.
I started with the Tomato Purée Soup! It was garnished with a cream. It was so good! It was served in a very cool assymetrical bowl.Lataysha saved herself for the main course, and ordered the Grass Roots Farms Chicken Duo. The chicken breast was roasted with thyme and served on a sweet potato galette, with autumn root vegetables in a Chardonnay cream sauce. The colours on her plate were fantastic!
Danielle and I both got the Cast Seared Black Cod and Scallops served with mashed potatoes, sunchoke and sweet pepper ragoût, in a Chardonnay Musqué buerre blanc.
After dinner we were given a tour of the upstairs and downstairs function rooms by the wonderful Cathy.
The upstairs consists of the Jordon Room, which with the foyer is usually used as a cocktail area, before opening up the Windows on the Twenty Room for the reception.
Jordan Room, for cocktails or a small function! I love the ceilings! The Windows on the Twenty Room.
Notice the wall of almost entirely windows? This is usually used as the backdrop for headtables!
Next, we headed downstairs to the second reception location. (This was my favourite!!) We walked down a flight of stairs and immediately you could feel the rustic charm of this venue. Renting this function space, you get the entire floor to yourself.
This would be such a fantastic backdrop for pictures! This is the first thing you see once getting downstairs.
The Wine Cellar. This is a round room, leading to the wine cellar. When they were renovating this room, they found this wine cellar/room. It was not on the floor plan at all, but was buried.Below is the reception room. I love the rock/brick showing through on the walls, the balls and the hardwood floors! Cocktail room with barrel cruiser tables (I must find out where to get one of these made!) and the hallway guests will use to get from room to room.
Everything about this place was homey feeling, rustic, and absolutely stunning! The service was amazing - our server and tour guide was Cathy! :)
I can't wait to plan a wedding here!
Thanks so much to Cathy and all the staff at Inn on the Twenty for the amazing meal and tour!
